About BlackMoon Wear

Some moments are rare, like watching a total eclipse. Finding fan-inspired apparel that feels thoughtfully designed instead of loud, cluttered, or made only for children shouldn't be.

BlackMoon Wear was created because I wanted to wear designs I couldn't find anywhere else.

As a lifelong fan of science fiction, fantasy, anime, horror, comics, tabletop gaming, and great design, I spent years seeing the same patterns repeat. Oversized logos. Generic graphics. Shirts that felt more like advertisements than clothing. Most fan apparel seemed designed for teenagers, while fans who had grown up with these stories were left with very few options that felt modern, subtle, or artistic.

I wanted something different.

Instead of asking, "How can I fit another logo onto a shirt?" I started asking a different question:
How can I capture the feeling of a fandom without making it obvious?

That idea became the foundation of BlackMoon Wear.

Many of my designs follow an "If you know, you know" philosophy. They reward the people who recognize the details, whether it's a familiar symbol, a color palette, a historical reference, or a composition inspired by the stories themselves. They're designed to start conversations between fans rather than simply announce what franchise someone likes.

Because of my background in graphic design, every collection begins with research as much as creativity. Inspiration can come from almost anywhere: Japanese art, heraldry, architecture, classic illustration, film, nature, mythology, historical artwork, or the visual language of the original source material. Sometimes the first idea works. More often, dozens of sketches and revisions lead to something better.

Not every design makes it into the store.

If it doesn't feel original, visually interesting, or something I'd genuinely enjoy wearing myself, it goes back to the drawing board. I'd rather release one design that people remember than dozens that disappear into a sea of lookalike merchandise.

Whether I'm creating minimalist Warhammer collections, Japanese-inspired artwork, original worlds like Catzilla, or completely new concepts, the goal is always the same: create apparel that feels timeless enough to wear every day while still celebrating the stories that inspire us.

BlackMoon Wear isn't trying to become the biggest fandom apparel company.

It's trying to become the one where people stop and think, "I've never seen a design like that before."
